Pray this Lazaroo with utter abandon:

“The land by the sea will become pastures…”
(Zephaniah 2:6)

Sounds good, Jesus.

Pastures are beautiful, pleasant places.

But to stop with that thought is to miss the point.

Land by the sea is extremely expensive.
There’s only so much of it.

It’s in high demand
because everyone wants to build a house there.

Which means that the land You’re referring to will revert to pasture

after the homes there – populated by disobedient people –

have been utterly destroyed.

Pray this Lazaroo in deep gratitude for the cross:

“You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew.”
(Galatians 2:14)

Peter had embraced Your good news, Jesus!

He was no longer living under the law.
He had faced the fact that he kept falling short.

Instead, he was now living under grace –
trusting You alone as His Savior.

But when some of the old crowd showed up

he reverted to his old ways
and Paul, in Your courage –

nailed him for it.

Take warning as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…he began to…separate himself from the Gentiles…”
(Galatians 2:12)

Peter was on a roll, Jesus.

Through a powerful vision, You had made it crystal clear:
He was to share Your good news with non-Jews
lovingly including them in Your Church.

But all it took was for Jews who had not had that vision to show up

for Peter to revert to his pre-vision behavior.

What beautiful insights have You given me, LORD?

Am I still walking in Your Light?
