“…they cannot rest until they do evil; they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble. They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
(Proverbs 4:16-18)

What a contrast, Jesus!

The life of the wicked

vs.

The life of the righteous.

I choose Your sun-drenched path, Father!

Lead me in every good and perfect way!

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“…they will take possession of it.”
(Deuteronomy 1:39)

This was a brutally hard thing for Your people to hear, Jesus.

The thing they had worked so hard to accomplish
the land they had journeyed so long to enter

was not to be theirs.

Instead, it was their children who would enjoy it.

Their sin had robbed them of Your promise.

May that not be true of me!

But may all those who come after me

indeed possess what You have promised!
