Be very careful, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…horses and their riders will fall…”
(Haggai 2:22)

A rider on a horse may feel safer, Jesus, almost invincible.

The horse raises them up high off the ground
making them feel above it all.

The horse is faster than soldiers on foot
able to race away from danger.

But it’s an illusion, isn’t it?

A rider on a horse is a bigger target

and the bigger they are
the harder they fall.

Maybe I’d better stay humble

and not get up on my high horse.

Wise up! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Many will follow their shameful ways…”
(2 Peter 2:2)

When “everybody’s doing it,” Jesus

it’s tempting to do it with them.
It feels safer.

But not when the crowd is opposed to You!

‘cause that whole crowd is marching right over the cliff.

Is it tough to stand alone?

Sometimes, yes.

But I’m not alone, am I?

I have You –

not to mention untold millions of my brother and sister Christians.

Because Satan’s a liar.
Everybody’s not “doing it.”

Pray this Lazaroo in joyous adoration:

“…make straight your way before me.”
(Psalms 5:8)

A straight path sure beats crooked, Jesus!

It allows me to see farther
which allows me to plan more wisely.

If there are rocks or holes in the road
it’s much easier to miss them.

Fewer sharp turns
means I can go faster.

But the best thing about a straight path

is that I’m far less likely to get lost along the way.

O God!

Make straight Your way before me!

Pray this Lazaroo with every fiber of your being:

“They…put its doors…in place.”
(Nehemiah 3:6)

There’s something about the moment a door is installed, Jesus.

Before…when anyone can walk in…
I feel a little vulnerable.

But after the door goes in, it feels safer, more complete.
The people living inside can breathe a little deeper.

That’s pretty much true of every door –

front, back, side…
anywhere someone can enter
day or night.

But when it comes to the door of my heart, Father

it’s always open
for You.
