Pray this Lazaroo in total dedication:

“With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood!”
(2 Peter 2:14)

What are my eyes full of, Jesus?

If not adultery, what?

Even if it’s a different sin, the result is the same.

I’ll never stop sinning.

Only when my eyes are full of love for You and Your Word

pleasing You and serving Your people

will I be able to stop my sinning
and start laying up significant heavenly treasure.

Pray this Lazaroo in won’t back down confidence:

“Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day…”
(Habakkuk 3:2)

I am so tired of people saying it doesn’t do any good to pray, Jesus!

Many believe You no longer perform miracles.

But You’re the same  –

yesterday, today and forever!

There’s nothing You can’t do!

Every miracle You’ve performed in the past
You’re fully able to do today.

So along with Habakkuk I beg You:

Do it again!

Pray this Lazaroo in fervency of spirit:

“What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears. Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth—then my judgments go forth like the sun.”
(Hosea 6:4-5)

I’ve been loved with that same disappearing love Jesus.

It’s awful.

Love never fails.
Their love was a lie from the beginning.

No wonder You respond to its duplicity

with warning words
followed by blazing judgment.

Pray this Lazaroo with earnest desire:

“I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face…”
(2 John 1:12)

Not so different from today, Jesus!

Now, Paul might write:

“I have so much to text you…
or email you…

“…but I don’t want to use my cell.”

The message is the same:

There’s just something special
about face to face.

One day in heaven, Jesus…

with You!

Pray this Lazaroo in stunned realization:

“Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.”
(James 3:10-12)

I think You just nailed me, Jesus.

Do I praise You?

Yes. Absolutely.

Do I sometimes speak judgmental words of anger and disrespect?

Sadly, I do.

Looks like I’m due for some

spring cleaning.

Pray this Lazaroo with resolute intent:

“‘I have built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.’ While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around and blessed them. Then he said: ‘Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who with his hands has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David.’”
(2 Chronicles 6:2-4)

You always keep Your Word, Jesus!

With Your help

may I do the same.

Pray this Lazaroo in Spirit-led recognition:

“But require them to make the same number of bricks as before; don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’ Make the work harder for the people so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies.”
(Exodus 5:8-9)

Pharaoh was 100% wrong about their being lazy, Jesus.

He was wrong about their motivation, too.
They did intend to go sacrifice to You.

But his instincts were right about one thing:

Thanks to Your amazing power
They weren’t about to come back.

Pray this Lazaroo with lavish love:

“With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?”
(James 3:9-11)

May my words always come from Your fresh water spring, Jesus!

You did not create my lips to spew salt water!

Keep me faithful to Your Word

as I store up Your truths within me.

Pray this Lazaroo with explosive feeling:

“Elisha said to Gehazi, ‘Tuck your cloak into your belt, take my staff in your hand and run. Don’t greet anyone you meet, and if anyone greets you, do not answer. Lay my staff on the boy’s face.’ But the child’s mother said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.’ So he got up and followed her.”
(2 Kings 4:29-30)

This Shunammite woman knew who had it, Jesus…

and who didn’t.

Help me know the same.
