Thank You for coming into this world
to save the likes of unworthy me –

for not condemning me for my inexcusable sins
but saving me and granting me eternal life.

Pray this Lazaroo in grateful amazement:

“…Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
(1 Peter 1:19)

Knowing that You would one day sacrifice Your Son, Father

You commanded Your people to offer lambs without blemish or defect

as atonement for their sins.

Of course, no animal blood on this earth could take away their sins.

You honored their sacrifices because they obeyed
pointing ahead to that day when Your sinless Son’s death

would pay for the sins of everyone who believes.

Oh, Jesus!
