Pray this Lazaroo in growing confidence:

“Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.”
(Zephaniah 2:3)

You did it for Lot, Jesus!

When You destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah
You first sent Your angels to take him out of harm’s way.

You did it for Your people in Egypt, Father!

When you sent those ten plagues
You spared the land of Goshen.

Please, LORD:

Do it for me!

Pray this Lazaroo in simple trust:

“…perhaps you will be sheltered…”
(Zephaniah 2:3)

As promises go, Jesus

this one leaves more than a little to be desired!

I like the definite promises that begin with words like, “You will!”

Those that begin with the word, “perhaps” scare me.

What if I do everything You command

but don’t get what I want?

Oh.

You’re teaching me humility, aren’t You?
You’re also teaching me obedience for its own reward

while leaving the results
in Your loving hands.
