Pray this Lazaroo with total focus:

“This is what the Lord Almighty says…”
(Haggai 1:2)

Those seven words, Jesus

should make every person on the planet come to attention.

We’re sick to death of hearing the opinions of human beings.

We’ve got to hear from You!

Human beings guess…suppose…surmise…assume…speculate.

You Know.

When You explain something

That’s the way it is.

When You say something is going to happen

it does.

When You make a promise

You keep it.

When You say, “You’re forgiven!”

I am.

Pray this Lazaroo with deepened understanding:

“You have wearied the Lord with your words. ‘How have we wearied him?’ you ask. By saying, ‘All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is pleased with them’ or ‘Where is the God of justice?’”
(Malachi 2:17)

So let me get this straight, Jesus:

You’re sick to death of our whining that life isn’t fair!

We’re making our judgments

based on three or four factors

while You know what’s really going on
with literally trillions of factors.

We’re trying to track what’s happening

with our tiny circle of family and friends

while You’re tracking the 24/7 lives
of all eight billion people on this planet

while laying groundwork
for the billions about to be born.

Pray this Lazaroo with excuseless humility:

“You have wearied the Lord with your words.”
(Malachi 2:17)

I don’t want to do that to You, Jesus!

In fact, I didn’t think I could.
I didn’t think You ever grew tired or weary.

But You don’t become weary from the mighty miracles You perform.

What wearies You is when I don’t do
what I say I’ll do.

You’re sick to death of empty words.

O God! Forgive me!

May I always – in Your strength –
keep my word to You.
