Pray this Lazaroo with determination:

“Israel’s arrogance testifies against them; the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble in their sin; Judah also stumbles with them. When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord, they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them. They are unfaithful to the Lord; they give birth to illegitimate children.”
(Hosea 5:5-7)

When we keep sinning – especially when we know better, Jesus –

You withdraw from us.

I can’t afford that, LORD!
I need You too desperately.

Please help me stay faithful to You.

Pray this Lazaroo…thoughtfully:

“We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.”
(James 3:2)

Of the many ways I can sin, Jesus

it’s most likely to happen
when I open my mouth.

That makes me want to keep my mouth shut.

But the problem with that solution is this:

If I only think it,
it’s still a sin.

No one else may know it
but You do

because You read minds.

Pray this Lazaroo with joy and gratitude!

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
(Hebrews 4:15-16)

You know firsthand what I’m going through, Jesus!

You’re not judging me harshly.

With compassion and total understanding
You’re helping me make it through.

Pray this Lazaroo with re-burning zeal:

“Anyone who…does not continue in the teaching of Christ…
(2 John 1:9)

I gave my life to You, Jesus

because You gave Your life for me.

I was determined to obey You from that moment forward.

But I haven’t.
I’ve sinned.
A lot.

I’ve confessed my sins.

I’ve forsaken them.

Only to pick them back up again.

I have no excuse – but You see it, LORD:

within the heart of my being
is a desire to continue in Your teaching.

Forgive me!
F
ill me!
Save me!

Pray this Lazaroo with overflowing gratitude for nine precious God-ordained, Word-of-God honoring years!

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
(Hebrews 4:12)

Your Word, Jesus! Your Word!

It’s the Lamp for my feet
the Light for my pathway.

Teach me through Your Word!

Fill me with Your Word!

May I daily hide Your Word in my heart

that I might not sin against You!

Be on your guard! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Their teaching will spread like gangrene.”
(2 Timothy 2:17)

False teaching is so like gangrene it’s scary, Jesus

bringing spiritual death to all who embrace it.

Gangrene occurs when there is no blood flow to arms, legs, toes and fingers

just as false teachers deny the saving power
of Your blood shed for us on the cross.

Muscles and internal organs can die from spreading infection

in the same way the sins promoted by the false teacher
destroys their followers from the inside.

Pray this Lazaroo in stunned wonder:

“‘See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.’”
(Zechariah 3:9)

It was revealed to Joshua that You are that Cornerstone, Jesus!

The seven spirits of Your Father that range throughout the earth

were upon You

as You gave Your life on the cross

to remove the sin of all who believe
in a single day.

Pray this Lazaroo in renewed dedication:

“…children and infants faint in the streets of the city. They say to their mothers, ‘Where is bread and wine?’ as they faint like the wounded in the streets of the city, as their lives ebb away In their mothers’ arms.”
(Lamentations 2:11-12)

Oh, how painful to hear these words, Jesus!

The suffering of the children
because of the sins of their parents.

It’s not fair!

But it’s the price of sin.

We think our sins affect us alone

but we’re dead wrong.

Pray this Lazaroo in fervency of spirit:

“But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin.”
(Micah 3:8)

It’s possible, Jesus!

That while all around me are weak, timid and afraid
You would choose to make me bold and strong.

That was true of Your prophet Micah

because He was obeying You
with every fiber of his being.

Weak or strong, bold or timid
may I do the same.
