Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“…astrologers came forward and…said to King Nebuchadnezzar, ‘…Your Majesty has issued a decree that…whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace. But there are some Jews …who…neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.’”
(Daniel 3:8-12)

These conniving enemies of Yours thought they had it all figured out, Jesus.

But they were wrong!

You were about to turn their schemes back on them.

“You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality…I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.”
(Revelation 2:20-22)

You are so patient with us, Jesus!

When I sin…

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“…you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other…”
(1 Peter 1:22)

Okay. Let me see if I’m able to put this together, Jesus:

Obeying Your Word purifies me.
Once purified, I’m able to sincerely love other believers.

Of course, the absence of any of those steps leaves me short.

If I don’t obey Your Word, I’m not pure.
If I’m not pure, I can’t love others – at least…

not sincerely.
