Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“He has made my skin and my flesh grow old and has broken my bones. He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship. He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead. He has walled me in so I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains.”
(Lamentations 3:4-7)

Jeremiah is talking about You, Jesus.

He believed in You.
He obeyed You.

And He knew exactly Who Is In Charge of Everything –

even the most brutal challenges of life.

“The Lord said to Moses, ‘Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has a defiling skin disease or a discharge…or who is ceremonially unclean because of a dead body. Send away male and female alike…outside the camp so they will not defile their camp, where I dwell among them.’”
(Numbers 5:1-3)

Back then…

that was the cost of living in Your Presence.

If I want to live in deep, daily, moment-by-moment 1on1 relationship with You, Jesus

there’s a cost.

But You’re worth it!

Pray this Lazaroo all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“When I lie down I think, ‘How long before I get up?’ The night drags on, and I toss and turn until dawn. My body is clothed with worms and scabs, my skin is broken and festering. My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and they come to an end without hope.”
(Job 7:4-6)

We need good sleep, Jesus.

We need good health.

But under Satan’s attack we may enjoy neither.

It’s so easy to feel hopeless like Job.
But I trust in You to rescue me!

Pray this Lazaroo in total amazement:

“The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.”
(Genesis 3:21)

Humanly speaking, this is incomprehensible, Jesus.

Adam and Eve knowingly, deliberately, blatantly disobey You.
As a result, they discover they’re naked.

Of course, there are consequences:

They have to leave the Garden of Eden.
Work and childbirth become harder, more painful.

But instead of abandoning them

You clothe them!

O God! Your loving mercy is unfathomable!

…which is why I’m still drawing a breath on this earth.
