Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“…to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief. Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.”
(Hebrews 3:18-19; 4:1)

Belief in You, Jesus.

That’s the difference between heaven and hell.

That’s the difference between entering Your rest

and falling into a downward spiral
that leads to eternal agony!

Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“…remember that at that time you were…foreigners to the covenants of the promise…”
(Ephesians 2:12)

I love the way You put this, Jesus

because through it, You’re teaching me so much!

“…at that time” means:

It’s no longer the case!

I’m no longer a foreigner to Your covenants of the promise!

“remember” means:

It’s vital that I always remember
where I’ve come from
and how far You’ve brought me.

I – once an undeserving outsider –

am now part of Your Forever Family.

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your heart:

“…the house of Jacob will possess its inheritance.”
(Obadiah 1:17)

That’s an easy distinction to overlook, Jesus.

It’s one thing to be left an inheritance
another thing to possess it.

The promise of an inheritance is beautiful, motivating, comforting

but if it doesn’t pan out
it’s devastating.

You’ve promised me an unimaginably great inheritance in heaven

which is mine by faith.

My faith, however

is confirmed by my obedience.

Last time I checked

faith without deeds is dead.
