Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

“The woman said, ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate.’”
(Genesis 3:13)

Who among us cannot identify with those words, Jesus?

Not one.

Every human being on earth old enough to know right from wrong

knows what it is to be deceived by Satan
and to give in to temptation.

I’d do well to remember that my soul has an enemy and a name:

Satan!

So that in the strength of Your superior Name

I can tell him:

“NO!”

Humbly pray this Lazaroo:

“…she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
(Genesis 3:12)

Adam blew right past his own responsibility, didn’t he, Jesus?

He acted like he had no choice:

Since his wife handed him the fruit, he had to eat it.

How lame.

It doesn’t matter who Satan uses to tempt me, LORD –

even the most precious person in the world to me!

If you say, “No!” then that’s got to be my answer to them:

“No!”
