Pray this Lazaroo in holy fear:

“’I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.’ And he said to me, ‘This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.’”
(Zechariah 5:2-3)

What a dramatic way to reveal this timeless truth, Jesus:

You hate thievery and lying.

Therefore, those who engage in those behaviors

will be banished from Your Presence.

Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.”
(Revelation 3:3)

Is there any area of my life where I’m spiritually asleep, Jesus?

Wake me up!

I long to be alert and ready
to repel Satan’s attacks

and to receive whatever You have in store for me.

Pray this Lazaroo with burning zeal:

“Do not run until your feet are bare and your throat is dry. But you said, ‘It’s no use! I love foreign gods, and I must go after them.’ As a thief is disgraced when he is caught, so the people of Israel are disgraced—they, their kings and their officials, their priests and their prophets.”
(Jeremiah 2:25-26)

I don’t have to sin, Jesus!

No matter how many times I’ve caved in to Satan’s temptation

Your power is still mine

to say NO!

Pray this Lazaroo in growing awareness:

“From the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin they allotted the previously named towns.”
(1 Chronicles 6:65)

How do I respond when something I thought was mine is taken away, Jesus?

I think they call that stealing.

Last time I checked

the eighth of Your Ten Commandments
says that’s not supposed to happen.

But then You come along and say if someone takes my coat

I should let them have my shirt, too.

It’s just stuff, isn’t it?

Think again, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…like thieves they enter through the windows.”
(Joel 2:9)

Can’t stand a thief, Jesus!

If people would simply ask for help
rather than waiting till my back is turned.

Having said that…

when I’m upset about the sins of others
sometimes it’s because I’m guilty of the same thing.

Maybe I’d better do what You recommend –

and see if I’ve got a plank in my eye
so I can see clearly to remove the speck

from my brothers’ or sisters’.

Pray this Lazaroo with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:

“…the God of…Jacob…”
(Exodus 3:16)

When You identify Yourself as a specific person’s God

You’re telling me something important, Jesus.

Jacob was a liar, a cheat, a conniver and a thief.

He loved one of his wives and not the other.
He had an excuse for that…but not before You.

And oh, yeah…

he was the grandson of Abraham
and father of 12 sons who became the 12 tribes of Israel.

Which – among other things – means:

You’ll use anybody.

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Woe to him who piles up stolen goods…!”
(Habakkuk 2:6)

That’s another level, isn’t it, Jesus?

To steal one or two things now and then is bad enough.

But to pile up high what’s been stolen

says something about the thief’s heart.

It’s the difference between sometimes losing my battle against temptation

and embracing temptation as a way of life.

Keep me in the good fight, Father!

May what Satan dangles in front of me
never become my master.
