Pray this Lazaroo with humbled caution:

“Do you not realize that a commander and a great man has fallen in Israel this day? And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”
(2 Samuel 3:38-39)

Even a king has limitations, Jesus.

His top general was a huge help…

but also a murderer –

too strong for David to remove.

Sometimes You saddle me with a problem person

because I need the good they also do!

Pray this Lazaroo in no-matter-what trust:

“…the livestock and the plunder from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves. From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the gorge, even as far as Gilead, not one town was too strong for us. The Lord our God gave us all of them.”
(Deuteronomy 2:35-36)

Thank You for giving us seasons like Jesus!

when You lead us through the dark valleys of loss.

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your soul:

“If anyone has caused grief…”
(2 Corinthians 2:5)

People don’t usually say something like this, Jesus

unless grief has been caused.

There’s seldom any “if” to it.

But for some, the word, “since” can be a little too strong.

Hence, the word, “if.”

Paul is trying to bring healing in the place of hurt

so with Your help, He’s choosing those words.

O God!

Give me Your words of healing
to share with those around me
who are hurting.
