Pray this Lazaroo with full-on ardor:

“…we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18-4:1)

Keep the transformation coming, Jesus.

I have such a long way to go!

But I trust You. I believe in You. I know You Are God and I know You are Good.

I will not lose heart.

Pray this Lazaroo with explosive feeling:

“The rest of Kohath’s descendants…”
(1 Chronicles 6:61)

They’re not all the same, are they, Jesus?

I can rejoice over some of those who come after me
and weep over others –

especially when I remember that my descendants
are not limited to my biological children.

Every person into whom I’ve invested time, prayer, energy, finances

is a child of mine.

O God!

I’m so grateful for the ones who are doing well.
Please transform and rescue those who aren’t!

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your heart:

“…that day sweeps on like chaff…”
(Zephaniah 2:2)

I’ve had a few days that felt like that, Jesus.

Nothing but chaff –
the sweepings of husks separated from the grain.

Filler…but no nutrition.
Activity…without accomplishment.

But the wild thing is that even on those days

You were with me.
You’re always with me!

And You – Redeemer of Lost Days –

were working, teaching, moving even then –
one more step in Your loving, lifelong plan

to transform me into Your amazing likeness.

Pray this Lazaroo in eager expectation:

“The LORD…raises the poor from the dust…”
(1 Samuel 2:7-8)

That’s one of the things about You I like best, Jesus –

You don’t leave any of us where we are.

Those who are humbled You lift.
Those who are haughty You humble.

Of this I can be sure:

Whatever I do now
Whoever I am now

is going to change.

The more fully I surrender to You

the more stunning the end result.

One touch from You

is transformative.

Pray this Lazaroo and be flooded with hope:

“They are…twice dead.”
(Jude 1:3)

Can’t get much worse than that, Jesus.

Not only were they dead to You now…

You knew their future:

They would remain dead to You eternally.

All of that while they were still moving, acting, breathing!

Dead people walking.

How many of those around me are twice dead, Father?

It’s not always apparent, is it?

Some of those who look most alive are corpses.

And some who look impossibly hopeless
You will utterly transform.
