Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

“‘Take these articles and go and deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem. And rebuild the house of God on its site.’ So this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem. From that day to the present it has been under construction but is not yet finished.”
(Ezra 5:15-16)

How many of the assignments You’ve given me

remain unfinished, Jesus?

That’s unacceptable.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“When Mordecai learned of all that had been done, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the city, wailing loudly and bitterly.”
(Esther 4:1)

Mordecai felt exactly the way most of us would feel, Jesus

when confronted with horrific, disastrously unacceptable news.

He was right.

The threatened annihilation of all the Jews was catastrophic.

But He was also wrong.

Because You were about to turn this unthinkable situation
into stunning victory.

Help me remember that

next time I’m tempted to lose it over bad news.
