I’m saved by Your gift of faith, Jesus

not by what I do or don’t do.

But evidence that I’ve received your gift of faith

is demonstrated by what I do

and don’t do.

Pray this Lazaroo in sobered recognition:

“…whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”
(James 2:10)

Thank You for clarifying this, Jesus.

The law doesn’t hand out grades of A, B, C, D or F
The law is pass/fail.

If I miss one question, I flunk.

Thank You for Your amazing grace!

Thank You for accepting me on the basis of faith!

Because when it comes to the law

I flunked a long time ago.

Pray this Lazaroo in deep gratitude for the cross:

“You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew.”
(Galatians 2:14)

Peter had embraced Your good news, Jesus!

He was no longer living under the law.
He had faced the fact that he kept falling short.

Instead, he was now living under grace –
trusting You alone as His Savior.

But when some of the old crowd showed up

he reverted to his old ways
and Paul, in Your courage –

nailed him for it.
