Pray this Lazaroo with locked-in faith:

“Although it is true that I am a guardian-redeemer of our family, there is another who is more closely related than I.”
(Ruth 3:12)

Naomi had it all worked out for her widowed daughter-in-law, Jesus.

Boaz would marry Ruth and give Naomi grandbabies.

Well, in fact, that’s exactly what happened!

Eventually.

But first, they had to face a huge, unexpected roadblock.

May I never fear the roadblocks Satan sets up in my life, Father.

Because nothing and nobody
can thwart Your Will!

Pray this Lazaroo with excuseless humility:

“In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest…”
(Haggai 1:1)

Oh, Jesus!

Is there any warning from You I’ve been missing
because it’s come from an unexpected source?

O God!

May I always be on the lookout
for anything You want to say to me!

Pray this Lazaroo in the fear of God:

“Their blood will be poured out like dust…”
(Zephaniah 1:17)

Like “dust,” Jesus?

That was unexpected.

I would have thought You’d say:

“Their blood will be poured out like water” –
or oil, or mud.

But “dust?”

Wow.

Are You referring to how much they will bleed

or to the way You will dry them out from the inside?

Either way, that’s what happens to Your enemies

which is one of the countless reasons I’ve chosen
to be Your friend.

Pray this Lazaroo with a desire to learn:

“…that we may live…quiet lives…”
(1 Timothy 2:2)

This one’s…unexpected, Jesus.

I enjoy quiet as much as the next person
perhaps less than some, more than others.

I certainly appreciate the virtues of quiet

easier to rest, relax, think
at least for some people. 😉

But maybe You’re not referring to the absence of noise.
Maybe this has nothing to do with volume.

Perhaps You’re talking about the inner quietness
that comes from knowing You have everything

under control.
