“…astrologers came forward and…said to King Nebuchadnezzar, ‘…Your Majesty has issued a decree that…whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace. But there are some Jews …who…neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.’”
(Daniel 3:8-12)

These conniving enemies of Yours thought they had it all figured out, Jesus.

But they were wrong!

You were about to turn their schemes back on them.

I’d sincerely appreciate it if You’d do the same

to all my unrepentant enemies.

Be comforted! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“You will be filled with shame instead of glory. Now it is your turn! Drink and let your nakedness be exposed! The cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.”
(Habakkuk 2:16)

This is Your promise, Jesus:

The day is coming

when You will repay every unrepentant, evil person
for the devastation they have caused!

When I see one of them getting away with it

When our hearts are stubborn and unrepentant, Jesus

this is what it comes to.

Because Your loving kindness doesn’t compel us

all that’s left is pain.

O God!

May I respond to Your love
Your generosity to me
Your goodness, mercy and forgiveness!

May I never bring upon myself

Your wrath.
