“Barak said to her, ‘If you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go.’ ‘Certainly I will go with you,’ said Deborah. ‘But because of the course you are taking, the honor will not be yours, for the Lord will deliver Sisera into the hands of a woman.’”

Through Your prophet Deborah

You commanded Barak to battle Israel’s enemies.

But he was unwilling to go without Deborah.

May I always obey You LORD

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…the whole house of Israel is…obstinate.”
(Ezekiel 3:7)

Obstinate is a pretty tough state to be in, Jesus.

Clueless would be better.
So would ignorant.
Helpless.
Stupid.

But obstinate means stubborn.

Hardheaded.
Unwilling.
Mulish.
Self-willed.

Refusing to do it Your way if it means I have to change.

And it does.
It always does.

Because my way is the highway

that leads to destruction.

Your way is the narrow way

the only way
that leads to joy, fulfillment

Life.
