Tender your heart, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
(Philippians 2:3-4)

Caring about others above myself, Jesus?

That truly does take humility!

I tend to think what I’ve got going on is all-important.

But that’s how they feel about their lives, too.

So doesn’t that cancel both out?

Why should I give them preference?

Only if I truly believe that in doing so

You will bless, heal, guide and protect me!

Pray this Lazaroo in peace-filled trust:

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves…”
(Philippians 2:3)

This is so opposite of the world I live in, Jesus.

What an opportunity in this darkness
to allow Your Light to shine!

It begins with total trust in You, doesn’t it?

If I know You’re taking care of me every step of the way
I’m freed from thinking about myself all the time

and able to focus on blessing others.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“…not to be slanderers…”
(Titus 2:3)

That’s a hard thing not to be, Jesus.

When I get down on someone
I tend to run them down to others.

Why do I do that?

I certainly don’t want anyone doing that to me!

But what goes around comes around, doesn’t it?

You’re watching…listening.

Besides, why am I getting down on anyone?

Sure, they’re struggling, falling short
just like I am.

Help me remember, LORD!

to honor and value others
above myself.
