Pray this Lazaroo in holy fear:

“They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.”
(Jude 1:13)

I remember hearing long ago, Jesus:

There’s so much good in the worst of us
and so much bad in the best of us
that it behooves all of us
not to judge the rest of us.

Not bad advice.

That’s pretty close to the truth.

But You’re in a position to judge.

And You will.

Pray this Lazaroo with bulldog faith:

“…like a crackling fire consuming stubble…”
(Joel 2:5)

If a non-farmer saw a field of burning stubble, Jesus

they might try to put it out
thinking something bad is happening.

But that would be a mistake.

After harvest, farmers burn the severed stalks of stubble into the ground as fertilizer for next season’s crop.

Next time You set my stubble on fire, please remind me:

You’re not harming me!

You’re preparing my soil for a greater-than-ever crop

next season.

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame…”
(Jude 1:13)

What a graphic picture of these godless, wicked people, Jesus!

Just as wave action
causes pollutants in the water to create sea foam

so the stressors of life
bring the evil hidden in these people to the surface.

It’s an old story, isn’t it?

Anyone can look good while sailing calm seas.
But when the storm hits

whatever’s inside me
rises up for all to see.
