Pray this Lazaroo in holy fear:

“…you have destroyed…everyone…”
(Habakkuk 2:8)

There are people like that out there, Jesus.

Every person they come into contact with is harmed.

Nor is it an accident.

They do it deliberately, reveling in their power to ruin lives.

But their day is coming.

You see…and will bring them to account.

Meanwhile, give me the wisdom and insight to avoid such people!

And when they come after me – or single out those I love –
cause them to stumble and fall.

Face it…as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…all will be condemned who…have delighted in wickedness.”
(2 Thessalonians 2:12)

At its best, Jesus…

wickedness isn’t as good as advertised.

Fun? Yes, it can be.

Pleasure? For sure.

But it’s not quite all that.

So I have to hype and pretend
to make up for the oversell –

a glass of over-steeped iced tea
short six teaspoons of sugar.

But the worst part is how quickly it’s over

…when I’m left with the aftermath

…the emptiness

…and the consequences.

Be on your guard, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“They have become filled with every kind of wickedness…”
(Romans 1:29)

It’s hard to imagine that people like this actually exist, Jesus

until I run into one of them.

At first, I can’t believe it.
I keep thinking I’m overreacting.

But the longer it goes
the more it’s confirmed.

Once my eyes are opened, I do my best to warn others

to no avail.
They can’t believe it either.

O God!

Deliver them and me
from those evil clutches.
