Pray this Lazaroo in abject repentence:

“…stand firm…”
(2 Thessalonians 2:15)

Is there any other way to stand, Jesus?

Sadly, yes.

Have I ever been wishy-washy in my stand for You, LORD?

speaking up for You some of the time
but not in others?

Have I ever been timid in my stand for You?

fearful, squeamish, unconfident.

Have I ever been absent in my stand for You?

failing to show up.

If so, O God! Forgive me!

May I from this moment forward

stand firm.

Pray this Lazaroo with locked-in faith:

“The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy…”
(Galatians 2:13)

What weak, wishy-washy follower of Yours are you referring to, Jesus?

Oh, wait a minute. I stand corrected.

This was none other than Your chosen Apostle Peter!

the man who was crucified upside-down for his faith.

He was just having a bad day. So were the other Jews.

So have I.

You didn’t give up on Peter when he slipped into hypocrisy…

and you will never give up on me.

Pray this Lazaroo in bedrock-deep resolve:

“They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind…”
(Jude 1:13)

People like this are nearly impossible to live with, Jesus!

They say one thing one day
something else the next.

They stand for nothing
fall for anything.

They stick up a wet finger
to determine which way the latest puff of air is blowing.

Their current position
depends on whoever they were last with.

May I never, never, ever!

be counted among their

unstable
unreliable
wishy-washy midst.
