(Haggai 2:20)

That’s nailing it down pretty tight, Jesus

right to the day.

You appreciate it when I thank You generically

“…for all You’ve done.”

But that’s a prayer that, if I’m not careful

…can be uttered almost without thinking.

How much better when I remember exactly what You did for me

how You did it

and when You did it!

Ezekiel waited seven days to hear Your assignment, Jesus.

I’ll wait as long as You want me to.

Just let me know what You want me to do!

Everything we know has a beginning and an end, Jesus…

except You.

You had no beginning. You have no end.

You’ve always been.
You will always be.

Your Word is the same, because Your Word flows from You!

Your Word stands forever.

If I stand on Your Word

then I, too –

though I have had a beginning –

will have no end.
