Pray this Lazaroo with wholehearted adoration:

“Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites, and Aaron told them everything the Lord had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people, and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.”
(Exodus 4:29-31)

I bow down and worship You too, Jesus!

When I’m in misery, You see it.
You’re concerned about me.

And You have the loving power to do something about it.

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“‘Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.’ Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and all kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.”
(Daniel 3:6-7)

That was a no-brainer for everyone, Jesus.

Well…almost everyone.

There were a handful of Your people
who knew better.

May I always be numbered among that handful!

“…you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before.”
(Ruth 2:11)

That’s the kind of thing people do in honor of You, Jesus!

Ruth did all of that to stay with her mother-in-law Naomi

out of respect for the woman she loved
and in honor of the God Naomi worshiped:

You.

You’re worth every big time price I pay

every courageous action I take in obedience to You.

 Allow gratitude to flood your heart, as you pray this Lazaroo: 

“…on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy…”
(Obadiah 1:17)

And so it was, Jesus –

the place where sacrifices for sins were made
the place Your people gathered to worship
the dwelling place of Your Presence

a deeply holy place –

as are the places where I’ve received Your deliverance.

They’ve become holy to me.

But of all those wonderful places

none are holier to me
than Mt. Calvary

where You won my eternal salvation

on the cross.
