Only looking back can we begin to understand the testimony of Your words to the serpent after he had successfully tempted Eve, Jesus:

“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Satan indeed used the cross to strike Your heel

not realizing You would use it

to crush his head.
