Pray this Lazaroo in devoted passion:

“When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth…”

Kings wore the finest of clothing, Jesus

made from the most expensive fabrics
tailored to fit them perfectly

designed to convey the idea that they were special –
in a different class from those wearing common attire.

But when a king donned plain, ugly sackcloth

he was totally humbling himself

which is what I do before You every day.
