Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your soul:

“‘How gladly would I treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation. I thought you would call me “Father” and not turn away from following me. But like a woman unfaithful to her husband, so you, Israel, have been unfaithful to me,’ declares the Lord.”
(Jeremiah 3:19-20)

I have no intention of turning away from You, Jesus!

Not ever.

It is my desire to remain faithful to You

every moment
of every hour
of every day

until You call me home to be with You!

Pray this Lazaroo in steadfast faith:

“One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.”
(Acts 3:1-2)

Peter and John thought they were there to pray, Jesus.

The lame man thought he was there to beg.

All three were about to discover:

You had a little something else in mind!

Pray this Lazaroo with burning zeal:

“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
(Acts 2:46-47)

What a happy, glorious time this was for Your Church, Jesus!

Tough times lay ahead
but You gave them this season first.

For every happy season, Father

I thank You from the bottom of my heart!

Pray this Lazaroo in overflowing joy :

“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.”
(Psalms 8:9-9:2)

Yes, LORD Jesus! Yes!

May this Spirit of jubilant praise saturate my being

from the bottom of my heart
each and every day
all day long

no matter what!

Pray this Lazaroo in patient readiness:

“I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent…But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’”
(Ezekiel 3:26-27)

Sometimes silence is golden, Jesus.

Sometimes it’s disobedience –

or even worse –

cowardice.

It is my heart’s desire to be silent when You tell me to hush

and to be vocal when You tell me to speak.

In every moment of every day, Holy Spirit…

lead me!

Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“But you, dear friends…”
(Jude 1:20)

You’re teaching by contrast, aren’t You, Jesus?

First, You describe the behavior of those who sin against You
then You show me how someone who loves You –

and who is loved by You –

behaves.

It’s supposed to give me the incentive I need to do what’s right.

As You can tell:

It’s working! 😉

Great God in Heaven, I beg You:

May it keep working this day, the next day and the next –

all the way Home.

Take sincere warning, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
(Hebrews 3:12-13)

The role of encouragement is huge, isn’t it, Jesus?

It’s so easy to become bogged down
by Satan’s insidious temptations and incessant lies.

Please help me encourage and be encouraged!

every single day.

Pray this Lazaroo in overflowing gratitude and love:

“He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”
(Luke 1:54-55)

That’s who You are, Jesus!

Helper. Merciful. Promise-Keeper.

Just as You are doing for Abraham and his descendants

You are helping me every day of my life.
You are merciful to me beyond all comprehension.
You have kept every one of Your promises to me.

I praise You, LORD!

I give You all of me.
Forever.

Pray this Lazaroo with utter abandon:

“Give careful thought to the day…”
(Haggai 2:18)

You were reminding Your people to give careful thought

to the day when the foundation of Your temple was laid, Jesus.

But there are a number of days in my life

that deserve careful thought.

Every day I experienced joy, fulfillment, success –

those were gifts from You.

Every day I experienced disappointment, heartache, failure –

those too were gifts from You.

I didn’t thank You then.

But looking back…

I thank You now.
