a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Abner did the right thing for the wrong reason, Jesus.

it cost him his life.

If I was counting on my obedience to Your law to save me, Jesus

I’d be doomed to hell.

To say I fall short is not only to state the obvious.
It’s the understatement of the century.

It’s not because I don’t care.

I try with all my might to please You…

and then I don’t.
